Vacationing on the Gutter

I know vacations are a right for those who actually work, but Brazilian carnival approaches and, for those who don’t know it, it’s just a time when every Brazilian declares a strike. The whole country virtually stops, and everybody becomes entranced into bad music and naked people dancing on the streets, all under the inspiration of cheap caipirinhas and weak beer.

Although I like very much to brag about my intellectuality and my usual pompous and serious posture, I simply cannot deny the spirit of the time. So, ladies and gentlemen, this post announces my vacations from this blog until the end of carnival, not only because I don’t intend to write during it, but also because I will probably not have conditions to write anything at all. Carnival is, after all, an official patriotic date for us, when we get to celebrate the fact that there are no sins below the equator. Who am I to stay aside from such a noble and solemn celebration?
Updates will go back to regularity on February 11th, but only if I can find my home until then (there are no computers on the gutter).
